Do the newer kimbers still benefit from the tinkering list.
Have a new discontinued Subalpine in 300 wsm, looking to knock out any upgrades b4 start loading for it.

I can move mag with follower removed.
But paint is chipped at the bottom corners in the stock.

Little bit of paint chips recoil lug.
Bedding around lug best option?

Going to bed egw pictary base to receiver and using Hawkins low rings, bushnell elite lrhsi 4.5x18x44

I have the same in .280 AI shoots sub moa with factory ammo, no tinkering outside of polishing a bit to smooth feeding. Feeding was adequate prior.

My Montana 308 has a bit of scraping from the mag box but shoots sub MOA. The only thing was torque to spec and epoxy the swivel studs into the stock (they just kept getting loose). After hunting season I may grind down the mag box so there’s no more scraping but maybe not.

Mine moves without follower in,might wait and shoot it.
Did you bed the stock?
