Worth considering anything but a Swarovski Spotter?

Want top quality glass.

I like the modularity of the system. Like the 65 mm objective for backpack hunting. Like the 95 for the truck and shooting range. BTX would be an awesome addition down the road.

Just want to make sure there isn't some amazing spotter out there that is crazy light and great optically or something that I'm missing before I pull the trigger.

Thanks!

While I'm at it, where is the best place to get a decent deal on one?

Take a serious look at the Kowa 77. To me, it fits perfectly between the small 65 and 85/95. Great all around size, light weight for its power, more compact, quality glass on par with swaro, and about $1K less.

You can’t cheat the mountain

You will never regret buying Swaro with their performance, customer service and ability to hold value. Doug at Camerland will beat any price I’ve ever found.

Nothing else has the modularity of Swarovski, but Kowa, Meopta, Leica and Zeiss are all good. I especially like the 65mm Leica for back pack hunting.

Once you factor in modularity, it's Swarovski all the way.

I have used and abused all Leica...pretty darn close to Swaro. The new Leica rangefinder may actually be better than Swaro!

ATX 65 is my go to scope most of the time due to being a backpack hunter. I love it. As mentioned those other name brands are high quality like swarovski but the swarovski ATX and STX has the ability to swap to BTX, add 1.7 magnifier, and who knows what else they will come up with for it. You will be happy with it. Fatrascal.

Zeiss Conquest Gavia 85 for sure. Zeiss has really picked up there game lately in my opinion. I don't know if they changed their lens coatings or what but the newer Zeiss stuff has been preforming very well for me.

Every "what optics should I buy" thread always compares brand X versus Swarovski. That right there should tell you that you are not going to go wrong with purchasing Swaros. You'll be happy with your purchase.
