Anyone using a jumping jack trailer for a base camp?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on them. Any disadvantages? I’ve been thinking about going this route.

Use my 6x8 solo hunting when I haul my atv. No regrets. Happy to answer specific questions. It gives me extra peace of mind in grizzly country as well.

My family has had the same jumping Jack since 2009ish. Thing is awesome and it’s seen some hard use. My family now takes the camper set up out of the trailer quite a bit to load a side by side in the trailer.

One huge advantage is the ATV or other gear storage on top. One inconvenience is that he wash basin is outside. I can get over that pretty easily.

When I was 21 I took it down to a fishing access site in Montana and pretty much lived out of it for a few weeks. Good times.

Almost pulled the trigger a cpl years ago then thought better of it.
Disadvantages, it's a tent with 2 cots, on a trailer for $10,000.
Advantages, it'll haul a cpl atv's.

Yep the price is my issue. It’s a $10k mobile wall tent that doubles as a utv trailer.

Redneck roll your own version: 4x7 utility trailer with a tent cot and pop up canopy. Works good until the heavy rain shows up. Need a better canopy for that.

I think they’re kinda neat, but seem expensive for what they are. Could buy an enclosed trailer or small flat bed and a 10x14 Kodiak tent for much less

We use a cábalas Alaskan guide tent for base camp now and it’s fine, but I feel like this would give the benifits of a wall tent without spending 30 minutes + setting something up. Also more head room. I tried the enclosed trailer and I still like that concept but I don’t think this would catch as much air as a jk with something on top of it. You can find them used for well under 10k
