Hey Brains Trust

Australian here - apologies if this has been asked before!

Was wondering if there was a big difference between the Simms G4 Pro and say, the Kuiu Yukon TR Rain Jacket

I have the Simms G4 Pro and it’s a super functional, waterproof jacket. I’m in need of a waterproof hunting jacket, and not being able to compare the Kuiu Yukon and Simms G4 side-by-side, I was hoping someone here could share their insight as to whether it was worth buying the Kuiu if I already have the Simms

Thanks !
Andrew

Generally, Simms has a wader cut. Meaning that the jacket sits higher on your stomach and doesn't go down far. Someone might speak specifically to the fit I'm not sure. That would be my concern.

I have the G3. They have a wader cut like mentioned above. They run short and have less coverage. I had a jacket before the G3 from Simms as well that I tried wearing as an every day rain jacket and the wader cut really made it non functional in that regard. Definitely two different pieces of kit.

I haven't had my hands on the Kuiu, but would like to in order to see how noisy it is. I have the Simms Pro Dry set and it's quite loud.
