From my notes:

61.5gr RL26 over 200gr NPT @ 2738 FPS

180gr Partition
3.316 OAL
64.1gr @ 2960FPS
RL 26

Developing a 30-06 load has been on my to do list for a while. Here's some second hand data that I saved as a starting point. Screenshot_2018-12-21-10-53-09.png

Excellent! Much appreciated. I am thinking about trying something in the 200 grain range. That load for the 200 NPT would be good for almost anything short of dangerous game. Not sure that I’m gonna want that kind of speed, the rifle will weigh 6.5 scoped. Again, thanks for the data.

RL26 works great for 180g and heavier in the 30-06. I played around with loading a 190 ABLR and found very similar groups and velocities between RL17 and RL26 at that weight. I forget the powder charge, but it was right around 2,800 FPS without pressure signs.

Nosler has their load data online as an FYI.

There is a lot of really good data out there. Nosler, Hodgdon and Alliant as well as the print forms of loading manuals. Not one of those list RL26 for the 30-06, a combination that I know should be a great performer.

Got to try out some RL26 with Hornady 180 RN in my Kimber Hunter. A friend of mine had a few in his stockpile so I figured it would get me an idea what kind of speeds I’d get and what the recoil would be like. I loaded 58, 59 and 60 grains. All of them went into 1 MOA, and the speeds were dead on with the quick load data that Mt100gr posted above. Recoil was stout, but honestly, I expected a lot more. Now waiting on some 180 Accubonds to do load work up.

This is consistent with all daya i have found, has anyone been able to locate 190 or 200g pressure data?

Those are some high velocities for a 3006, if I can find a lb. of it I would like to work up a load for elk season using 180gr accubonds, I read that is temp. sensitive, how sensitive is it to say 50 degree change?

Opening this one up again. I have several 300 Magnums but just bought a Savage Ultralite with the Proof barrel, the rifle is very light, anyways 100 prepped brass and primed with Fed210GM primers and just looking at this as well, have both RL 17 and RL-26 and the data looks very interesting for sure. I have some 190 grain Speer Impacts and 190 ABLRs as well as 195 Grain TMKs.... the rifle has the cool factor now do the reloads?
