Anyone use 4-24 VX6 for long-range hunting?

I have two VX6 4-24 scopes. I have not experienced any of the issues being discussed here. I have one on a 300 win mag and another on a 6.5 creedmoor. Have taken animals with both out to 500 yards. I have had no issues with tracking or holding zero.

4-24x52 vx6-hd 23.4oz
4-24x50 tenmile 25.7 oz
4-32x50 NX8 28-29 oz

I too wanted that VX6 after looking through them. But read too many threads on here about issues. The tenmile has great glass, illumination, same magnification, 50mm rather than 52mm. Even wash in my eyes but may not clear barrel contour with same set of rings. I too considered the NF NX8 4-32x50 that weighed in about 28-29oz which is the same as my Schmidt Bender Polar 4-16x56. I caught a great deal on the Tenmile and considering the NF was almost double the price, I went Trijicon. Now my buddy has a NXS 5.5-22x50 nightforce on his 7 SAUM, but to my eyes, the Trijicon had better glass.

Thanks for the feedback.

Walking on the scope now, love the magnification range of the VX6, but not happy that it’s second focal plane, and a limited amount of reticles.
Has anyone out there put this scope through its paces?
I also have two VX6 3-18 scopes and have had no issues with tracking or holding zero. I don't have any issues with SFP with a dial scope.

i have 2 of the vx6hd 3-18. Havent had any issues with holding zero. Tracking hasn't caused problems either. I do prefer ffp scopes but with the firedot duplex, the sfp works out just fine.

Yes,
Good point about the magnification at last light. This rifle will be dual purpose, as I’ll be doing lots of target shooting with it as well, so more magnification is wanted. I currently have an old 8.5-25 Mark 4 on my target rifle, which wont cut it as a hunting scope.
If the scope was first focal plane, with those turrets, covered windage, and that glass- I wouldn’t hesitate to buy. From what I’ve seen out there, this one almost checks all the boxes other than focal plane.
I currently have a Mark 5 HD in 5-25x56 that I'm looking to move. It's only been on the gun for a few months and together they don't have two boxes of ammo through them. Ironically, I am looking for a SFP reticle over the FFP of the Mark 5.
