Did the pack come with the extra compression straps for compressing the top of the pack to the frame when using the meat shelf? They also work for attaching the lid. Aron mentioned in one of the videos that the straps come with the pack but the description on the Kifaru site doesn't mention the straps and even suggests getting the guide lid compression kit.

I emailed kifaru and they are replacing the timberline 1 with this pack. I'm going to grab a TL1 instead of this pack just because I'm not a fan of the 3 section compression strap system on the reckoning. It's the identical system that mystery ranch uses on the metcalf. I loved it when it was fully loaded, but empty or lightly loaded was a pain as I had tons of extra strap that I had to tend to or have flopping around. I tried to keep it neat at first by rolling the extra straps up and using those strap tender/Velcro keepers they both have but it got old quick. Don't get me wrong I think this pack is great as it's just a metcalf with a center zip and the metcalf was a huge hit. I run a Marshall currently and I'm making the switch to kifaru. When the marshal was used as a day hunter, I could just take my lower straps and cross them across the bag at the top to compress it down, similar to what I will do with the timberline series.
