Anyone tried out the Reckoning yet from Kifaru

Every one is different, i have DT1 it is a good pack but i like this one better.

Mine came today. I really appreciate the grab handles and snap down snow collar. It did not have extra compression straps with it. I was expecting an actual sleeve for the water bladder so I had a bit of a wtf moment when I pulled the Velcro apart and realized it is just a strap. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now but it seems like a pointless system that's going to be a pain to use. I'm really happy with it though and I'm sure it's really going to serve me well.

The snow collar has female buckles attached that allow you to use it as a lid.

Mine is on order.....hoping to have it in a few weeks.

It will replace DT2 I was using this season. I love the Kifaru frame, but was missing a lot of the features from my previous Stone Glacier Sky Archer bag. The Reckoning looks like a Sky bag on steroids.

Two thumbs way up on the grab handles, makes it so much easier to handle the pack when it's loaded with meat.

Got mine Wednesday last week and got it bloody today.

Got mine as well, so far it looks perfect but there was no chamber pocket and no extra straps.

I ordered mine about a week ago and called to verify that the straps are included in the purchase. There was conflicting information on the video Aron posted where he states they will be included and the description stated that they weren't. The video is correct and the pack is suppose to include the straps and chamber pocket. They have since modified the pack description to show that only the guide lid is purchased as an extra.

How is access to the spotting scope and tripod side pockets when the pack is empty? Can you tighten the side pockets with a minimal load in the center so they don't flop around while hiking?

I will be keeping the side pockets pulled tight in day pack mode and placing my scope and tripod in the center of the pack right on top of my game bags, rain gear, cold weather gear or whatever else is in the bottom of the pack in day mode, when I need the scope I will retrieve it through the bottom zipper, 2 buckles and a zip and they are out and the pack stays tight on the sides. LOL at least that is my thought at this point after doing some mock packing attempts, I find this way to be much tighter, IMO if you pull the center straps tight the pack is kind of loose
