I am wondering if anyone has shipped warranty items back to Swarovski from Canada?

I have some SLC Binos that have something loose internally in them. I contacted Swarovski and they want them shipped in and I am told to cover shipping both ways at a cost of $410 just for shipping…. They mentioned the repair may not be covered under warranty as well.

Is there any other cheaper options? Definitely not enjoying Swarovski warranty so far to say the least.

It blows my mind how expensive it is to ship to or from Canada. I can’t blame swarvo for not covering it. They tell me the same thing regarding not sure if it will be covered by warranty etc but it always seem to end up costing nothing except shipping.

My friend in Whitehorse got his binoculars to Tok AK as his quote to Whitehorse was similar to yours. If I remembered right insured it was 70 dollars round trip. Not bad.

Canada can be a PITA. Price you pay to like in a kickass place.

I was under the impression Swaro gave you a label to ship from Canada and then charged you their cost on the label if it was a non warranty repair? (Free both ways if warranty)

I know Canada's money isn't worth the paper it's printed on but $400 sounds weird.
