Anyone seen this “Tink” 5.56 77TMK ammo?

looks like it is in a nickel alloy case with higher pressure. Saying 2900fps from 18” barrel.

So the case allows for higher pressure if I'm understanding correctly? I have been shooting Black Hills 5.56 TMK out of my Tikka 223 with no issues. Would it still be safe to shoot this ammo out of a bolt action 223?

So more reading the steel cases seem to have a more uniform thickness and a little thinner than brass allowing more powder. Also a little stronger to allow higher pressures.

I will be using in 5.56 AR and a 223 Wylde in bolt.

There’s a few other companies loading in these cases and they definitely get more velocity. I’d be interested to see if the increased pressure would be an issue on a 223.

I have some in my possession. I’ve only shot 10 rounds so far out of an AR. Not impressed with speeds I saw yet but still waiting to hear back from Phantom on their determination on the lot I got.

Report back! I don't need more than the 2750-2850 FPS i get out of standard 223 handloads but these do sound pretty awesome.

I hand load 77 TMKs in this same case, the Nas3, to velocities around 2900 fps and shoot it out of my Tikka .223. No issues to date.
Do you reload them or are they one and done?

Do you crimp them?

Precision/consistency vs brass loads?

Mainly this is to make 223 my go to for predators too. The flatter the better. 2700 from black hills 77TMK is great on deer.

Yes, they are a one and done loading. The case doesn’t resize well because of the 2 piece nature and pulls apart in the resizing die. I don’t crimp them, but the manufacturer says they can be lightly crimped and they recommend a Lee Factory Crimp Die. They do have a lower ES and standard deviation compared to my brass loads, but I am a minimalist when it comes to brass prep in general. The Nas3 cases have a very slight bell at the mouth, so I don’t chamfer or debur them, either. I will say this, though, seating the primers is a bit tougher, they have a very tight pocket and when seating the bullet, I do use a bit of Hornady One Shot applied on the inside of the case neck; it seems to reduce the deformation of the bullet.
