Since this topic already exists, I'll add to it for anyone wanting to go this route. I just bedded a Peak 44 Bastion to my Ridgeline 280ai (FFT model).

Using a kitchen scale (so take it for what it is) weight wise the bare FFT stock is 19.25 ounces, the Bastion is 22.125 ounces. The barreled action with scope is 4 lbs 13.4 ounces.

I chose to use bottom metal stuff from Red Hawk Rifles. The bottom metal for this Bastion is 5.4 ounces while the FFT bottom metal is 4.6 ounces (I didn't weigh the actions bolts).

Overall I'm not increasing the weight of the FFT model by much (around 4 ounces), but I feel the shootability will be better. My gripe with the CA stock is its slick and the trigger reach, especially while prone, was uncomfortable to me.

Thanks for the pictures and info. I did end up ordering the 700 universal that JD at Peak 44 suggested. Did you have any issues with the CA bottom metal fitment?
I bought the barreled action from brownells. I can’t remember which bottom metal I went with but it’s bdl and was an easy drop in.
