I would recommend checking out one of the big custom boot makers, like whites. They could probably build you what you are looking for

Was just wondering that's all, because I couldn't see anyone that makes something like that.

The Schnee granite pro looks to be along the lines of want I was looking for.
Rigid shank and crampon compatible for tahr hunting.

if they were a 10" boot.

I used to have a pair of Meindl Makalu Pro many years ago. Only 8" though.
They're listed as 9.5 inches, thought that might be close enough. I have the Himalayas which are 8.5" and slightly less but plenty stiff and well made.

Thanks for that. The Crispi Briksdal is indeed a 10" rigid insulated boot. Shame it hasn't got heel and toe welts for crampons like the Schnees granite pro

Regarding the above question, I saw an article that mentions a Schnees boot called the Teton.

Rigid and insulated. I can't see it on their website though. Anyone know anything about them?

We stopped making that boot a while back. The Granite 600g would be a current alternative.

What are you looking to accomplish with the height? Wondering if a lower boot with a gaiter would accomplish the same thing. I appreciate a higher boot for some things, just wondering. Also re crampons, would a binding like a petzl flexlock work? On a relatively stiff boot they are surprisingly secure and Ive found good for steep snowfields, moderate glacier ice, even some mixed climbing. Those two points would open up a lot more options.

I like 10" for the extra support and deeper water crossing.
I currently use the Petzl Irvis flexlock crampon on my Lowa Tibet Hi's. and they are fine but I would like a rigid boot so it might as well have welts that allow crampons with a toe bail and leverlock.

I want something rigid though. The Granite pro looks to be the only thing I have found that appeals to me. Be perfect if the Teton was still available as it's both rigid and insulated.

Not sure it exists other the ones youve found. Best you may be able to do other than the granite pro is one of the boots from la sportiva or scarpa or maybe others with an integral gaiter—that’ll be pretty waterproof for stream crossing as they typically use a waterproof zipper. I question whether height above 8” actually adds any additional support, but regardless, insuspect the hunting version of these boots is even more niche than the mountaineering variety. the trend in that type of boots in mountaineering is lower/softer, not higher/stiffer so may be hard to find.
