Anyone have success with eld-vt?

I’m gonna try some of these in my Tikka 223. Should be absolute destruction on those prairie dogs, even at almost 500 yards

They work good. 3000 fps in an 18” is what I was shooting. Still have a couple thousand for when I can get back out. Really not a bad practice bullet either if you buy them from the right place

Oh sweet! I’ll be shooting them out of an 18” with added freebore.

Freebore won’t be a super big deal but mag space is, it’s a long bullet, 2.35ish inches is the shortest they can be loaded.

Benchmark shot well with them.

100gr out of 6.5 PRC bad medicine on coyotes. Running 61.8 of 6.5 StaBall 3538 it is a hot load for especially 20 inch barrel ended up running Hornadys Book left of 2.9 for best accuracy which never seems to workout. Amend 2 AICS mag

I’m working on 6 CM right now with the 80 gr…

I’ve got a 25 CM and SST… has anybody had good experience with the 95 gr ELD-VT? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth trying on 25 SST for 350 yards and on night hunting for coyotes.

Try the 69gr in 22cm.

Curious on what they’re doing for you in the 6 CM. I’d like to use them for dogs in mine.

I just did a 25 round test with them on a new replacement barrel last night. Tested 39-45 gr H4350 without any pressure and shot 6-3 shot groups from 42.5-44.0 gr in .3 increments. Hornady showed 45.2 as max but for another 80 gr bullet of theirs… Groups were all an inch or less (2 of them .5 ish inch/MOA) and ES was all 15 or less and SDs 6 or less..
which is totally lucky as I went to grab my modified case and the neck was dinged! I used my .241” mandrel and it didn’t push it open enough to use it… so I just guessed a totally random depth of 2.717” as my senior buddy of mine was waiting on me…

I’ve got a 26”, 7.5T, .109” freebore barrel. I’ve got 25 more cases primed for as soon as I can wrap work up today. I’ve got to get another modified case asap..

I’ve got a 19” and figured I may be able to get them close to 3300.
