Guys,
I only have a MAC in the house and could not find a program to run on IOS. I was hoping you could help a fellow rokslider out. Can you run these specs for me please? I owe you a beer.

Are they weak? Stiff? Just right? Dynamic spine?

2012 Hoyt CE Element
66 pounds
26.5 inch draw
Easton AC SuperSlim
400 Spine arrow
25.75" Cut to Cut (finished is about 26" - nov and firenock half outsert)
125 grain FP

Thanks a million

I don't have a program available at the moment, but with those specs you would be just fine. For comparisons sake, here is my setup..

Bear Agenda 6
27" Draw
66#
26.75" Goldtip 7595 (.340") w/ 50grn brass insert weight
125grn Tip

With this setup I am damn near perfect. keep in mind though, the IBO on my bow is a little faster (350 FPS) and my arrow is a little bit longer (weaker).

Jeff,

How much does your total arrow weight? And do you know your FPS ?
I think the Firenock half outserts weight about 33 gr.

Thank you for taking the time Brian. They are 18 gr. I am getting about 257-262 out of it. Short arms screws me :)

According to my OT2 program, and making some assumptions, like fletching, and without adding any weight to the string, it shows the shafts slightly, and very slightly on the weak side. Pretty typical for OT2, that program likes stiffer arrows. The calculated speed was 271 fps, which makes sense because I did not add any string weight. So, with the string weight, etc, they should be fine.

But, they are still going to be a little weak...

Maybe try 100 gr tips ?

Thanks guys. I am still shooting the original Hoyt strings that are 3 years old. They are starting to give way (even since the start of season). I spent some time re-twisting up the strings, and this bow is dead nuts again. Arrrows were not the issue. Thanks again!

New strings will make a huge difference and help.
