Anyone have a tricked out .22 pistol they hunt squirrels with.

Yeah. It's a real bish to learn how to unzip the coat on your way to the draw.......
You'd never get a shot on anything if your draw took that long. Not having it in my hand ready to go is an issue as it is. But you can't drive a snowmachine with a pistol in your hand so...

No pic handy but Ruger 22/45 with red dot and Form 1 suppressor. Got a Sparrow incoming after the Jan 1 changes.
A buddy recently got an integrally suppressed bull barrel for his 22/45 and that thing is better than big boobies! I need one, for science or something...

Correct! He was on the ground hard quartering away. Luckily, shot was only about 15 yds and snapped spine. He made it roughly 10 yds before my boy and I made it over to him to make sure he made it into the bag!

I did something similar to one the other day. I shoot them on my property because they chew stuff up like wires and crap.

It was in a branch and I hit him too far back, I could see his legs flopping around as he dragged himself across a branch. Luckily I made a clean shot just a few seconds later. It really made be feel bad and reminded me to slow down and make good shots.

Indeed! Same thing that happened to me, had his fronts but not his backs.
