Hoping mine will show up soon. Had plans to take it up in the tree with me during deer hunting but I don't think it will be here in time.
Anyone have a tricked out .22 pistol they hunt squirrels with.

I just use an open ended generic and it works pretty well. Either way the draw is extended obviously.New holster from Cole-Tac for those suppressed .22s.

Got a Tandemkross Comet short barrel for the Victory. Tossed the holster/hip-eating gas pedal that came with it. Much handier length for a suppressed .22. And can burn up a bunch of bulk HV ammo, as it is all subsonic from this length. No problem dinging my 8" 50 yard gong, or the 100 yard sillywet with cheap Fed bulk HP's. Shoulda went this route sooner....

I love these short barreled .22 pistols. I recently saw that Ruger has an exclusive Silencer Shop short barreled Mark IV. I may pick one up soon.
How do you like the FN 502? I'm strongly considering one because of the light weight, reasonable barrel length, threaded barrel, optics plate, and 15 round capacity, plus cost below Ruger and most buckmark options. Plus a decent trigger and reliability, from what I've read. Seems to check all the boxes.... Too good to be true?
Did you chop the barrel or can you buy these rugers with a short barrel? Stock lower?upgraded grips? Trigger?

I don’t want to speak for @B_Reynolds_AK but it appears that this is the Silencer Shop Host (SSH) that they have with Ruger. I don’t have one but am looking to get one and you can only get it through the Silencer Shop dealer network. It has a shortened 3” barrel and seems perfect for a suppressor.

I like it a lot so far. It's eaten every ammo I've thrown in it including subs which IME for 22lr they can be picky. I was gonna buy a Ruger but was picking up a rifle I had shipped to my local shop and they had the 502 and a bunch of Rugers. I tried them all and the 502 had a better trigger feel to me and it wasn't even close so I went ahead and bought it. I'm not disappointed.

Volquartsen internals (accurizing kit and bolt tune up kit). Tandem grip and thumb ledge. It is much nicer with these upgrades.

I was looking at an integral suppressed mark IV. A few companies make them, but it seems the shortest is from Innovative Arms. If you send them your firearm they will shorten the barrel and build you an integral suppressor with sights.
This is the route I was going to go before I found the SSH.

This Upper Fits ANY Ruger Mark IV Frame and is extremely lightweight and well-balanced, but the accuracy is even better. Type III hard anodized machined aluminum receiver to reduce the weight but then fit it with a stainless steel match barrel.

Watch Volquartsens Clearnce area as well for Ruger barrels that they cut and thread. Sometimes with sights sometimes without. This is the route I went. Was a good path for me, barrel is the numbered part so has to go through FFL—keep that in mind.
