Anyone evet used a mouth tab?

Dislocated my shoulder this morning as we move into the heart of whitetail season. I can get them pretty close. Anyone used a mouth tab before and how did it work? I do not mean how well did it work. I mean how do they work, I cannot figure it out.

My buddy just killed a deer with a mouth tab. It was his first year using one.

I believe you tie a leather strap to your string, then you bite down on it and draw. Open your mouth to shoot. But I can't promise that's how it actually works, lol.
