Anyone else have issues with SWFA SS 3-15 gen 2 turret?

Has anyone else has an issue with the SWFA SS 3-15 gen 2 turret zero stop getting stuck? I ordered one and got it in the mail today and when I switched to the uncapped vertical turret and turned it to the zero stop it got stuck. I hand tightened it just to see how sold the zero stop was. When I try to dial the scope the whole turret turned out of the scope body. If this happened I am not sure if I can trust this scope in the field. The obvious concern is if it gets stuck in the field I won’t be able to dial. My other concern is that the turret came out of the scope body when I was trying to remedy the problem, did I loose my nitrogen purge?

I called SWFA and they said they never heard of anything like this happening. I am going to send it back but if this has happened to other people I may just ask for my money back and buy from a different company. I acknowledge that this may be user error but I still wouldn’t expect this to happen.

Sounds pretty crazy. Every manufacture sends out a dud sometimes. If their customer service treats you right not every manufacturer can say that. Im interested to hear how well they respond

Yep.
Nobody wants to be the guy who gets the one dud, but a maker who sends out very few duds and handles it well when it happens, can't be faulted.

I bent a turret and they replaced a 12x SS.

This is the way.

Mine has been fine. One of the first things I did when I received it was crank each knob to its extremes and back a few times.

I have seen turrets unscrew in other brands too.
