Anyone cut out the rubber cuffs on the Kuiu Yukon?

I’m really liking the Kuiu Yukon TR with one exception the rubber cuffs not so much. I get why they’re there to not allow water to run up the cuff, but I just find they’re unnecessary much of the time. Anyone successfully cut them out?

So I just got this jacket and searched this exact thing because I have to say… not sold on the cuff design. I’m afraid I’m going to rip them off every time I take the jacket off. How long will they last being that tight?

I’ve been wearing my yukon this fall and winter and either I’ve gotten more used to the cuffs, or they’re less grippy. I feel like they’re easier to get in and out of. Still would prefer a standard cuff though.

Good insight. I love the jacket… the cuffs concern me a little bit even though I totally understand and can probably appreciate the design. Look forward to testing it out.

I don't think I could take a pair of scissors to a jacket as expensive as the Yukon, but let us know how it works if you do it.

Kuiu has a partner they work with for rips and tear repair. Thinking this might be an option for you. However likely not to be spendy.
