Anyone Carry a Lightweight Pulley System?

I built a light block and tackle with two of these, para cord for the pulley line and amsteel for the anchor line:

I've carried that setup for I think four elk now and haven't used it once, probably leave it behind this fall. One elk died on a steep meadow 20' from the nearest tree, another in a clearcut, and the other two were in pine/fir forest. Big ponderosas with no limbs until 50+ feet up, or firs thick with weak, sloping branches.

I've read plenty of stories on here of elk dying in some nasty spots that make it very hard to quarter them. I hunt solo a good bit, and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to carry a lightweight pulley system for that situation (read some others that do the same). I've killed a few elk already and haven't needed it yet, but maybe I'm just lucky.

Harken makes some pretty strong pulleys that only weigh about .5 oz. About $15-$20 a piece, so I figure by the time I get several of them and some good rope, I'll spend about $80.

Do you think it would be worth it? Does anyone else do something similar?
Cervara gear makes an ultralight pulley system weighing only 12oz total. It provides an 8:1 mechanical advantage. A 200lbs load requires only about 25lbs of pull to raise the load. You can hoist multiple elk quarters into a tree away from predators or use it to manipulate the legs to aid in removing them. It’s great for solo hunters!
