My kids spend their summers up at my in-laws' lake house in upstate NY, they're living the dream spending their days running around with their friends fishing on lazy rivers and swimming in a pristine lake. Due to this circumstance, I find myself spending a fair bit of my own summer up there on weekends and taking a decent portion of my vacation time to be up there for a weeks at a time. I even lucked into finding a good local rod & gun club to join there to pass some time. Unfortunately, unlike my home state, possession of a metal tube with washers inside of it is considered such an evil in NY, even for the purposes of reducing noise and saving everyone else's hearing, that it's a felony. So a TBAC silencer that my state deems perfectly fine for me to possess, can't cross into NY. That said, since this rifle I have in mind will have a TBAC CB brake on it, to which the TBAC silencer mounts, is anyone aware of any one of those open ended tubes that direct blast forward, or I guess something like a linear compensator, anyone aware of such a thing that can mount to a CB brake so that I can at least not be subjected to the blast of the brake, during long range sessions in this beautiful place that is marred by nonsensical laws while I am there? I wish I knew fhe "official" name of such devices, I just never thought I would ever be in the market for one before now.
