Any suggestions on which Bino Harness to buy?

Out of the badlands mag, mystery ranch, and Kuiu (original and new chest pack) binoculars harnesses I've owned, the new Kuiu chest pack is easily my favorite, particularly if you want to carry a compact or subcompact semi auto on your chest. Never used a fhf or marsupial bino holder so no comparison there.

Kuiu Pro has been the best one I have found and I like the durability and accessories as well as the pouch i can put on the the bottom for sunglasses or tripod mount for the binos.

I have used several, Alaska guide creations, fhf gear, marsupial and mystery ranch. None of them were bad, but they weren’t great either. Recently I converted an older military chest rig into a bino harness. It was a project I’ve been toying with for some time and finally just did it. I’m happy with it and have used it throughout my hunts last year.

Out of curiosity, what holster do you use with the kuiu?

No holster. I just run a G43 unchambered with a +2 mag in the slot behind the main bino compartment (carrying NL 14x52) and it fits with room to spare. Pretty sure you could run a double stack subcompact (G26 or similar) without any problem as well. It'd just be a bit bulkier and heavier than what I really want to carry on my chest. I would also guess you could run a compact (G19 or similar). The should straps make for a slow draw so keep that in mind if you are under the illusion you are going to need to speed shoot charging animals. Also, if you have a gigantic cell phone, you might run into issues of fitting your phone w/ phoneskope case in the side accessory pocket. I have a galaxy S21 (pretty large phone) and it barely fits with the phone scope case.

If you want a comfortable and bomber chest pack that can comfortably carry a subcompact or compact pistol for dealing with two legged animals or black bear or smaller toothy critters, seriously consider the Kuiu chest pack. If you don't plan to carry a pistol on the chest, I'd suggest picking up the KUIU pro harness and mix/match your accessories.

I have a Marsupial Gear and Eberlestock Recon. For me the Recon is more comfortable, lighter and has better storage. The build quality on the Marsupial Gear is a bit better. As others have said invest in a good harness. You can also pick them up used on here all the time for $80-100.

I used a Crooked Horn Outfitters bino harness with an Icebreaker hand muff for 15-16 seasons. This season I replaced them with the FHF Fob bino harness/molle handmuff system. I like the system.

I have a FHF in Orange and a marsupial in brown, far prefer the harness on the FHF but the actual bino holder on marsupial. Wish their buckles were cross compatible.

I am likely getting a set of range finder binos this year that will not fit either of my rigs and planning to order th FHF FOB for them. Looks like it combines the best of both and can accommodate binos of various sizes.
