Any short barrel .277 Fury owners out there?

I have a Seekins Element Hunter in 6.5PRC. Considering get an aftermarket barrel chambered in .277 Fury and trying this thing out. I was hoping to go 16 to 18" barrel. Curious is anyone has shot the Sig Hybrid 150AB factory ammo out of barrels in that length range and what kind of velocities you see? I can't find if those factory loads are in fact the high pressure loading or standard 60k psi type loadings.

I dont have any experience with the .277 fury but was getting some decent velocity with some of the brass converted to .308

I also recall hearing that factory ammo was lower pressure, but cant find it in any official Sig documents. Will try emailing them.

In my 6.5 cm with converted .277 fury brass i got up to 2986 fps with H4350 143 ELDX. My load with Lapua brass is 2767. My .308 is at 2870 with a 150 grain speer gold dot out of an 18” barrel.

I have a straight jacket armory 18" 277 fury barrel. I get about 3045 with my can attached with the 150AB. Feel free to ask any questions on it.

I am considering picking up a ph3 277fury in 16" for playing around with as well.

Are you reloading or shooting factory ammo? How is the accuracy? If it’s factory ammo how consistent is the ammo velocity wise?

Is this brass the same chamber detentions as the Creedmoor? Anyone necked it down to 22 yet? Boy if a dude could load 22 creed to 80k psi....

You could certainly convert it to 22 cm. I have some converted to 6.5cm

I have reloaded some stuff and shooting factory. The factory ammo has been pretty consistent for me. Especially the latest batches. I would say sd usually around or below 8-15fps. The accuracy has been pretty good for me, would call it 3/4” average which is good enough for hunting for me. I have dabbled a little in reloading it. I loaded 130ttsx, 145eldx and 165ablr in the brass cases for it. It loved the eldx but I haven’t gone into load development yet nor have I loaded high pressure stuff.

You could certainly convert it to 22 cm. I have some converted to 6.5cm

Not even sure it'd be worth it. The cases are about maxed out with n565 has is. But maybe if your barrel liked a smaller powder like Staball...
