You guys made me look haha. But starting at $80k is a hard pass. I'll keep my diesel and SxS. You can get great offroad rides out of a RZR , Maverick etc and easier to repair if needed.

Oil changes are probably the biggest thing I would want to see. On the gen 1’s they would get dimples on the cab where the front of the bed hit the cab from people jumping them too big/far. Not sure if it applies to gen 3 or not. Good luck!

To follow up on this since it came back up

Ended up with a super clean 2014 Gen 1 6.2L with 80k miles for about the value of my 20’ F-150

It’s been a good truck so far, put about 8k miles on it. It’s a fun truck to drive around and does plenty good at 75/80mph on the highway. I also paid to have the shocks rebuilt

But to be honest, it’s still just a vehicle. 95% of the time it’s simply used to get from point A to B. The other 5% are when I want to take it out on faster dirt road kind of off-roading they are designed for.

Not saying I regret it but also not saying they’re worth the extra cost unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket. Kind of like swaro’s, are they better: Yes. Are they worth the extra money for the say extra 5% better viewing over say a $1500 bino, thats up to you to decide but I’d say probably not (and I have owned and sold swaro products)
