Any need to tweak Weatherby Vanguards?

Dang. I never pushed one to find out, but thought the Series 2 stocks with the Griptonite inserts were pretty well regarded
As is, they are fine. Just go shoot the thing before fiddling with it. If you really want to do something to it, this is a good order:

A) reliable scope
1) Timney
2) Stockys

I've got an Accupoint 3-9x40 set aside for it, waiting. Planning on Burris XTB bases and Weaver 4 hole "tactical" rings.

Happy to hear that order. So no big worries about the factory stock not being stiff enough?

No, it will be fine for what I assume you want to do.

More than likely then thanks! What do you think would be asking too much?
My guess is you are trying to shoot animals inside 400yds and practice past that. If you run into an equipment hindrance, then it can be addressed. You won't know that until you use it and practice.

Then you're bang on. Good to know theres no reason to expect it cannot do that in factory trim.

My weatherby has only had a Trim to the trigger springs and a stockys. Shoots great.
My last weatherby was completely unmodified and shot well enough for 300-400 and in

That'd be about all I'm looking for. What did you have the stock one doing?
