So I was just asked by a family member whos asking for their older age friends (husband is in his last days) if I have any idea what this shotgun could be and if it’s worth anything?
All I know that it’s never been used.
I asked if they can send more pictures but this is all I have for now
Is this just a regular run of the mill shotgun or could this be something older worth $$?

Looks like a Winchester Model 1300. I bought one just like it in 1990 instead of the Remington 870’s all of my buddies were shooting at the time. Same price point as the 870’s but nicer action in my opinion.

Looks like it has a slug barrel with it? That certainly adds some value. A minty 1300 with two barrels isn’t worth a fortune or anything but it’s also not something you stumble onto everyday.

I tried looking on gun broker. Any idea what it’s worth if this lady tried walking into local gun shop to sell it? $300? $500?

I don’t know most local gun shops are usually in search of desperate people needing cash and pay something stupid like 70% of blue book and I doubt blue book is very high on that gun but it really isn’t accurate at all vs real world value. I would see if they would consign for 10% or what their consignment policy is. There is one on GB for 499.00, I think it’s the same model anyway a 1300 ranger bird/deer combo?

A gun shop would likely only give her $150 - $300 for it. Top dollar at a local shop might be around $750 for them so they're going to want to make a profit and would likely sit on it a while.

Thats a Winchester model 1300. The barrel with iron sights is likely a rifled barrel for shooting sabot slugs.

I bought a 2004 model one new for $300. They quit making them around 2007. Barrels are about $80 a piece for these guns.

$350 is a fair price. If someone young or someone wanting to get into hunting has interest sell it to them for $250.

If a local gun shop offered 150 or 200 i would take it before they changed their mind.

The 1300 was designed to be an inexpensive mass produced hunting shotgun. They shoot excellent. Ive shot many animals with mine. But they were very inexpensive when they made them. They were the cheapened version of the model 12.

Mine was about $330 new. I've still got it in the back of the safe. If someone offered $300 I'd sell it.

I had a 1300 slug gun. Had it for many years. I could throw the slugs with my bare hands and probably group better than I could shooting them outnof the gun. Sold it to Cabelas and they gave me $250 for it.
