I’ve got a bag of fired brass that I can’t remember if I annealed or not. If not, is there any harm in doing it twice? You can’t over anneal by doing it several times, as long as it doesn’t exceed temperature, right?
Parshal nailed it. The flame color tells you when you’re done. When I forget if my batch was annealed or not, I run them at a faster spin rate. If the flame turns orange quickly, chances are they’re already done once. I always sacrifice one or two to get the time right. I believe its important for them all to receive the same burn and same number of annealing runs.
