Any guys backpack hunting NC mountains this year?

I’ve always wanted to get lost in the Chattahoochee, or Smokey Mountain National Forest for about a week while searching for a long beard or two. I’ve spent plenty of time up there fishing just never hunting.

I've grown up hunting over here in the SE NC flatlands but have hunted in Mitchell county at my parent's place a little bit. This is my first year getting into backpack hunting but I fully intend to spend some time in a tent up that way this season.
