Any fans of 7x binoculars

What are the reasons you chose 7x over other magnifications

7x50s on my boat. 7x easier to hold steady on boat. Boat carries the extra weight of the binoculars really well...

I've got an old pair of Bushnell Chuck Adams Bowhunter binos in 7x36. Perfect for the thick OK whitetail hunting I normally do. FOV is outstanding and the 7x is great for the areas I hunt. Never thought I needed more than a 36mm objective to gather light from my normal treestand hangs. However I do take my Leupold 8x42's when I travel to CO elk hunting every Sept.

I agree. The 7x36 insane 9.3 degree FOV are the main reason I love mine. Plus the stability is about the same wether I use a monopod or not...can’t say that with 8x or 10x....for me anyway

First trip out I took some 10x42’s because I was afraid the 7x’s weren’t good enough. Didn’t care for the smaller FOV and lack of steadiness I had using them. Came back the next year with a tripod for them and loved the 10x but still never felt comfy using them freehand. Sold the 10’s and tried the 8’s. Much better in my hand, better FOV, and I’ve never felt I needed more power in the places I’m taking them. Ive kept the 7x and 8x and cant see myself changing any time soon.
