I'm long overdue for some new glass and The spotter is next on the list. I've read pretty much everything I can find on the kowa tsn spotters but I've seen nothing about how tough they are, how durable the coatings are and how kowa is to deal with a warranty or repair. I'd love to hear some first hand experience since I'm a klutz and will likely break whatever scope I end up getting.

Kowa makes an amazing product. Probably the finest spotters available. You do not see much about their warranty as they really don't have issues :)

As far as physical damage, they, same as some of the other premium brands, do not offer an all inclusive no fault warranty

Three of em over 15 years and no serious problems.
One must've gotten warm on truck dash and some grease ran down onto prism.
It was back to me in a week N/C.
The coating is very durable.
The primary problem with a Kowa is all the new "long range shooters" wanting to borrow my scopes as theirs just don't
measure up.

I have zero concern for their quality! I am only concerned about my uncanny ability to break things. Just wanted first hand experience about their service department. I don't mind paying for repairs so long as they're done in a reasonable amount of time and priced fairly

Only had that one little grease issue....hardly a major warranty issue.....and it was 10 years old at the time.

One of my scopes is in my pickup all the time and mounted on a window mount......gets knocked around a bit.....still looks and works good.
