Just got organized to reload and now have to learn. Any recommendation on my first attempts? I have 100 pieces of hornady brass and the gear but that's it. Been reading a ton and watching panhandle prescion videos so feel like it's clear as mud. Rifles a new christenson arms .Thanks

I went with RL26 powder in mine and worked up a load off of Alliants website. Some guys are getting good results with H1000 but I however did not get the results I was looking for. RL26 turned out to be the best but right now good luck finding any.

Google 6.5 PRC load data and you’ll find many threads on the different forums. Seems the most popular powders are RL26, H1000,Retumbo, H4831SC and N565. Some of those are very hard to acquire if you don’t have them already.
Here’s Hornadys info

6.5 PRC Hornady brass, FED215M primer, 2.950" COAL, all single digit SD's achieved with all offerings.
150+ class bullets 56-57 H1000 produces 2900-2950 F/S out of a 26" barrel
140-150 class bullets 57-58 H1000 produces 2950-3050 F/S out of a 26" barrel
Use this data with caution, follow good practice working up to max pressure.

We haven't because of inconsistent availability. Rumors of big military contract that sucked it all up but it has been quite awhile since distributors have received any in the warehouses.

Hard to say right now, some say it might never come back. That would be a damn Greek tragedy! I have 3 kegs of IMR 8133 I’m going to give a go as a replacement. Data will come next year on all of our main stream cartridges.

What bullet you going to be using? I haven’t been able to find RL26 so I bought some H1000 to try with 143 eld-x and 140 bergers.
