* ANSWERED* Rookie Trijicon Reticle Question

Picked up a closeout Credo 4-16x50 and manual doesn’t have any reticle info. Can anyone chime in what the 1 DIV stuff at the bottom means? I measured and my reticle is correct at 16x. The .5@16X had me puzzled. Not seeing what DIV stands for. I feel like an idiot.

1 DIV refers to one hash mark (whether large or small) on the reticle. Therefore, at 16x, 1 DIV equals 0.5 mils, and at 8x 1 DIV equal 1 mil, and so on.

With this 4-16x model it’s actually a pretty handy reticle because the math is simple when used on either full or half magnifications. And at 8x, you still have a hold point for 0.5 mil windage due to the floating dot design

I believe it is how many mils/moa each bigger hash mark is at said power. The reticle shown on the website is slightly different and should be correct .

The 3-18 tenmile hx is similar with .5@18 and 1x @9.

Thanks all. That makes sense. And visually is common sense. I just had never heard DIV in reference to retical stadia.

DIV = division OR as another said, one hash mark

SFP => Angular distance between hash marks changes with magnification.

For example ... At 16 power the hash marks are correctly labeled (each hash is 0.5 MOA apart). At 8x double the numbers for actual values. At 4x quadruple the printed numbers for actual values.
