^^^ I tend to agree. My First Lite keeps me warm in temps much lower than 50.
The Kifaru is warmer, but the First Lite is no slouch.
I agree with these guys... wear mine all the time with a tshirt in the 40s and am fine... spent an afternoon in the low 20s with an UA hoodie and the puffy over it and was happy as a clam... that was just casual walking. Sitting would need another layer in those temps.

I'll add, that it dries amazingly fast whenever i get caught in the rain... one lf the reasons i love it. Most would agree the kifaru or sitka is warmer tho so if you are after absolute warmth, look to them, and if it is dry, down cant be beat for loft and warmth.

I really like the Sitka kelvin. A little heavier than some but very warm to me.

Love mine too. Used the hood quite a bit last November.

Mine has been sitting in a wish list for over a year. It finally went on sale and I got it in last week. My only regret is that I didn't get it last year! I've only worn it twice, but it is super warm. I'm really happy with my purchase. Looking forward to wearing it again soon on a hunt later this week.

For what it's worth, I also have the have KUIU's Super down hoody that I use extensively. Whereas the KUIU puffy will work well as a mid-layer under a hard shell or as an outer layer in cold weather, the Sitka Kelvin down hoody is much bulkier and would be better used as an outer layer only (which is the intended purpose of the design). The Sitka kelvin also comes with a stuff / dry sack.

Also note that I chose these two down items because they have the waterproof/hydrophobic down in them. To me, that's just an extra margin of safety if shit happens and I get wet by accident.

I have the FL puffy in max-1 and fusion Camo. The max-1 seems to have twice the filling and is twice as warm. The fusion Camo one doesn't keep me warm much must past 50 deg but the max-1 I can wear in single digits. Ironically I got the max-1 Camo on sale for 1/2 as much. Different batches? The max-1 doesn't seem to have the orange water proof zippers like the Fusion one does. Wonder if 5MilesBack got the same batch of fusion puffy I did?
