Hunting crop damage wt does and the woods on the farm were clear cut 6 years ago, it's now thicker than hell. Shots are close and predictable so it's not hard to pick your shot, but if a deer goes back into the woods I need a short and/or heavy blood trail.

Currently thinking about megameats, evolution whitetails, and some of the grim reaper heads like the carni four. Any input on those?

Used a Rage Trypan yesterday and Stevie Wonder recovered the deer by following the blood trail. Looked like a freaking crime scene.

I like the Ramcat Hemoshock for a big 2 blade. Penetrates well, and cuts well. The only negative is that they are not yet selling replacement blades. But a $10 broadhead isn't that big of a deal

I hunt a small block of woods in an urban area and need to keep deer in bounds. Limit my shots to inside 20yds on calm, broadside deer. Sevr 2.0 and G5 Megameat. Two big holes leaking oil keeps them out of old Mrs. Smiths flower bed....

Shoot them through both lungs with any BH and they will only go 50y on their last breath.

IME over 4 decades of bowhunting, Blood trails are more dependent on shot location than the BH.

Shoot a critter too high and you get less blood- no matter the cutting diameter.
