Another poacher in Idaho convicted.

None of that seems unreasonable to me. He cites a guy for taking a deer unlicensed and out of season, and then the next day hears a single gunshot from that same guy's property. Seems pretty reasonable to look into, and apparently all it took was walking up to the property edge to see a blind and feeder setup.
Man, I don’t know, growing up in the country, a gun shot was like a car horn in the city.

It has been gross to me to see the responses to this on local news facebook pages. The amount of support he has received because “he’s just trying to feed himself and who cares what he does on his land” type stuff.
Thats the new poor me mindset people are adopting. They justify shoplifting, poaching, drug use, etc because the person just cant do any better. Same people will say its OK to shoplift formula to feed their kid while taking it away from someone else who would pay for it. Society as a whole is broken.

Been here my whole life. Gotta love all the new additions that think they’re moving to some lawless free for all state
I hear ya....but there are just a lot of people that feel rules and laws don't apply to them, OG Idahoans included. It's usually not the outta stater that I find causing problems, the local yocals, well that's another thing

It’s pretty vaguely written but it sounds like the officer accessed someone else’s property and found the blind and bait on the property line. If someone gave them permission to access their property and they found it without access the other dudes, that would be completely legal.

While I agree, in the country gunshots are more common, I don’t think it’s that far fetched to think an officer would want to investigate a gunshot from a property that you just cited someone for poaching.
