the more i look kifaru is def. out of price range.
anyone have the size dimensions of the kuiu 5200 and 7200? or familar with sizing

I think there is 3 things a guy should never try to save money on when planning a backpack hunt. Boots, pack, and optics. Everything else you can afford to skimp on for the first few years, but nothing will end a hunt quicker than sore feet, a sore back and not being able to spot game.

i agree to a certain point except for feet(priority) . looks like alot of folks here spend more on gear than i make in 6 months, but i still appreciate all info and to know what i want to aim for but realize what i have to do for now.
i'm sure some of this gear is awesome but not to the point of gross margins for a name. for the tag on some of this hunting stuff it should have wheels and a seat to ride it!lol

anyone know when the new mystery ranch packs will be avail?

You arent paying for the name on the tag you are paying for the quality and design of the product. These companies dont just jack up prices to gouge customers, these packs costs that much because of quality material and craftsmanship that built them and the time and materials to extensively test them prior to being released. You will only pack a heavily load with an inferior pack once before you realize the worth of a good pack. Most of us have learned that lesson the hard way.

If your considering kuiu I would suggest the icon pro suspension over the ultra suspension. I ordered both and sent the ultra back. I really like the icon pro belt and shoulder straps. Im 5'9" 160 and have an 18" torso. I ordered the tall frame and really like it. As other people have already said, they either fit you and are very comfortable or you hate them. Doesn't seem to be much in between.
