Here in Ca. Governor Grusum recently sign a bill which will add 11% tax to anything related to firearm sales. All the gang bangers are real upset.

I can find 270 3006 all day ,high priced in my opinion. Anything 6.5 creedmoor available also. It's a crap shoot for anything else. $50 a box for 6mm or $75 a box for prc, no thanks I'll keep reloading.

Pretty much agree.
I've got to start "hunting" components rather than being satisfied with the occasional box of factory crap!

I read a detailed account of which international companies were receiving which military contracts for small arms ammo and it was quite clear the #1 reason for price hikes is the mess caused by Russia. The hundreds of millions of rounds shot in Ukraine is a drop in the bucket of how much European countries are stockpiling in case Putin does what he says and Russia attempts to return other former Soviet countries back into Russian control.

Ukraine is just an annoyance to us, but if France invaded Canada to take parts back, things happening in our back yard would seem much more serious.

I think its all fear tactics so the ammo companies can just keep ripping us all off.

They are starting to see ammo sitting on the shelves and they arnt lining their pockets like they were for the past 3-4 years.......Its all part of the plan to keep us poor and them rich.

Yes - the rich are definitely getting richer!

I vividly remember when I went on Nosler's site to purchase ammo a year-ish ago (I get a small military discount) and they were out of everything. BUT their prices still reflected their "normal" pricing. When I saw that resellers were charging an arm and a leg I held out hope that when things returned to nearer normal, that Nosler would keep prices reasonable.

That certainly was wishful thinking. A box of their Trophy Grade ammo (.308) sold for ~ $35, now.... $85 and still climbing :(

Yeah I'm sure there is some inflation, but that's quite a bump in roughy a year's time.

Blue box federal is about as consistent and tight shooting factory ammo as I ever found.

When you shoot the '06 fold a beach or bathroom towel up and put it on your shoulder. I have reloads that will shoot an inch at 250 but love to flinch with it. Core Locts will shoot inside a soda can bottom at 100-200 if I haven't had a Mtn Dew.
I have an accubond load with h4350 shooting around 0.6 now so I'm good with that. The blue box federal was the best. It didn't care for the expensive stuff or anything over 165gr.
