Just ran the first rounds through my ARC CDG Lightweight rifle and thought I would share some initial thoughts. Barrel was chambered by Blue Mountain Precision in 25 Creedmoor. Will be using this rifle for NRL Light as well as for backpack deer hunts.
Build Specs
ARC CDG Lightweight SA
Proof Carbon Barrel 26"
MDT HNT 26
RPM Rings
Vortex LHT 4.5-22
Hellfire Match
Triggertech Special
Pros
Smooth Action
AW mags
Zero slop in the folding stock
Action can be disassembled without tools
Cons
The MDT grip is pretty weird. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. I do like the swell in the grip, maybe it'll grow on me.
The split pic rail sections on the action are placed way too far forward. I'm struggling to understand how/why this choice was made when everything else about the action is so well thought out. I'm lucky that I was able to get proper eye relief, because I don't really have any more rearward travel available.
Feel free to hit me with questions!
