I use prime for damn near everything but groceries. You can usually put a product number in and they have it. Sometimes a dollar or two more but you can get it in two days vs a week or more. You can also find stuff you'd never be able to find locally.

I did notice that stuff that was usually 2 day delivery is pushed out 4-5 days. I'm assuming they are preparing for delays from the storm (southeast)

I was simply informing you of the services included in Prime (more than free shipping). Like I mentioned, I am not stating if it is worth the price or not, that is for each person to determine for themselves. I tend not to use all of the other services, and have gone back and forth on renewing a few times.
Yep, gotcha. I think our family spends way too much time outside to have Prime be any kind of benefit whatsoever. Since statistically 63% of Americans dont have a single thing they actively do outside (sad statistic actually) i’m sure my family is in the minority by a wide margin when it comes to TV watching and ordering mostly un needed stuff from Amazon. Still have zero intention of falling in rank with the majority.

Why are you so convinced that everyone is constantly buying stuff they don't need on Amazon?

Virtually everyone I know who uses it much buys stuff they need and can't buy locally, or would spend a lot more on locally. Yeah, we get 4-5 Amazon packages a week. Saves us a lot of time and money.

Not everyone, MOST people.

Have you driven around with your eyes open??? Pretty hard to miss the rabid consumerism going on in America today. Amazon is a big contributor.

We cancelled prime long ago. We still use Amazon from time to time, and still don’t pay for shipping on 99% of our orders, and it gets here in the same time line it would had we used prime. Their 2 day shipping that they claimed, and never getting an item in 2 days, was the deal breaker. Unless you use the other “benefits”, it’s just a huge donation to Amazon.

Where your proof it's because of Prime?

Because you're just ranting and blaming something you have no experience with.

In the face of experience.

My 11 yo niece likes to do memes and stuff. You’re better than she is do YOU do autographs?

Well, at least someone in your family has a sense of humor.

And, yes. I can mail you a copy and sign it if you desire.

I don't disagree with you that "doing" is better than "having", just seems you're laying it on a little thick. I love the outdoors as much as the next guy. Just because there are things other people find convenient doesn't mean you need to insult them.

Blaming Amazon for consumerism and poor spending habits is along the lines of blaming spoons for obesity, or guns for killing.
