Had myself convinced that the next piece of gear I wanted to upgrade was my binoculars, so I had decided I was going to get a pair of Swarovisions. Friend of mine has a pair of 10x42 swarovisions that I decided to look through for a good 15 minutes or so and compare them back and forth with my Zen Ray ED3s, and after going back and forth 15 times, I'm not sure I'm convinced the swarovskis are better...
I messed with the diopter quite a bit to make sure it wasn't a focusing issue, but I couldn't seem to get them to focus real great for me. The picture was clear, but it was almost like my eyes were fighting double vision or like I was crossing my eyes slightly or something, and it just wasn't a clear focused image all the way across the view. And even when I could get them to focus, it didn't seem to be noticeably clearer than my Zen-Rays.
I talked to another guy and asked what his opinion was of them and he said he couldn't get his eyes to focus real great through them either.
Am I the only person in the world that has looked through swarovskis and thought this? Or could there have been something wrong with his binoculars?
