Alverstone II vs Schnees Beartooth

Hi all, curious if anyone has tried both the Alverstone II and Schnees Beartooth? I've been pretty much set on a new pair of Beartooths OR Timberlines, as my Kenetrek HS hikers are just too stiff. I'm curious on how the Alverstone stacks up against the Beartooth in terms of fit and stiffness. With the current sale on Hanwags I'm having a hard time not considering giving them a try. Other boots that are high on my list are the Crispi Nevadas.

Don't have any experience with the Alverstone, but do have the Beartooth II that I got this past summer to replace my Kenetreks. Wonderful boot, a bit lighter than the Kenetrek Hardscrabble and very comfortable.

How would you say the stiffness compares between the Beartooths and the Kenetreks? From what i understand the Beartooths seem to have a bit more flex than the kenetreks, which is definitely the direction I want to go.

I'm wondering about the fit of the Alverstone's as well and considering them because of the sale....
I'm a little apprehensive about buying them because of the feedback on fit, as they supposedly run small and narrow. I have a pair of HanWag Alaska's in 11.5 Wide, and I would say they aren't a true wide, more of a medium+. If the Alverstones are any bit narrower than my Alaska's they would not work at all

The Beartooths have more flex than the Hardscrabble. Both sets of my Kenetreks are size 11.5, Hardscrabble and Mtn Extreme 400 and they no longer fit due to my feet flattening. Ordered the Beartooth in sz 12 and they fit wonderfully, easy boot to break in, hope they last. Two trips into the Washington Cascades for Mtn Goat, elk hunt in the Bighorns, elk hunt in Washington and assisted in a Colorado deer and elk hunt this fall, so far, so good.
