Well went to cabelas tonight and looked through the slc and cabelas brand Meopta. I actually prefer the Meopta ergonomics. They seemed like a nicer view looking across the parking lot. But sitting out in the fields would be the true test. Are the cabelas Meopta the same as what you would get at camera land?

Yes they are.

It would be great if you could compare the Swarovski back to back with Leica ultravid or noctovid. Both are "alpha" but colors and contrasts, etc. are different.

Well I found a 2018 pair of slc 10x42 for $1200 so I pulled the trigger. Excited to do some comparisons out west.

It's too bad you decided against "alpha" glass! You are going to hate those SLC's...
