My friend hit a bear cub while on his Harley on the hiway. He was in the hospital for months after. Scary stuff.

Bikes are an unforgiving thing.

I spent a couple of decades on racetracks. One afternoon a car guy told me "Motorcyclist's are the Kamikaze pilots of motorsports."

Never forgot that. Or the guy that said it.

Didn't stop riding either, so there's that...

I had a grouse jump and fly in between my leg and the fuel tank. I panicked and squeeze my legs in. The grouse panicked and flapped harder.

At first I didn't know what it was all I knew was something alive was trapped between my leg and bike.
