All you Dads, what's your favorite kid carrier backpack

I have the Deuter Kid Comfort 2. It's pretty nice. I like that it has a torso adjustment which I don't think others have. It seemed like it or the Osprey Poco were the best that I looked at.

Yep,here to I'm twice her size but she says I'm not careful enough but we used a Kelty from a second hand store lasted for 3 kids and gave it away still going strong I heard

I've used my cargo panel one time to carry my 3yr old son. I brought it assuming he would get too tired walk eventually and he did. I was glad I had it. It worked well but I'm not sure how comfortable it would be for him for a long period of time. It was also a little tricky getting the pack on with him in the cargo panel without him falling out. He loved riding in it.

I like that setup, as my kids like digging their chin into my head when they forward face.

cant remember what the kid carrier brand is, but i slid the waist belt and shoulder harness off and strapped it to my x-kurve frame. Works great, you would never know it wasn't actually part of the frame by the way it attached and how solid it attaches.

That looks like the Deuter Kid Comfort III.

This is the pack I would recommend. I hiked a TON with my son and then my daughter on multi-day hikes at around 10 plus miles per hike. There is nothing more comfortable or better than the Deuters, period.

I am surprised that no one has discussed child safety. With the Deuter, there is head protection for the younger children with a raised and reinforced back, along with a very puffy face rest. I would ask everyone who is carrying their children with just a couple of straps and something designed for meat hauling: What happens if you were to fall? With some of the designs, I see a likelihood of your child being broken in half at the worst to significant head injury in the least. At least with the Deuter, they will have some form of protection.

I have a much newer Kelty and it has lots of storage. Very comfortable and highly recommend it. Was like $300+ but it's got lots of use.
