If you have a draw over 28" what spine are you shooting. Not that I want to shoot more than my 70 Spyder Turbo but I have a 29.5" draw and wondered how ya'll make it work. I shoot 100 grains and 300 spines but it is close to being to weak of an arrow. I wanted to go 125 or 150 grain heads but that just won't work for my rig, unless I am way off base.

shoot 300 spine. I shoot 300 spine AXIS out of my alphamax with a 29.5" draw....You wont underspine as long as you stick with 100G tips. I played around a lot when I worked as an archery tech with arrow spine and never was underspined with 300's out to 30" DL and 100G tips I can shoot 125's out of mine fine also with fine performance.. if shooting fixed heads I would not shoot 125s though.

I shoot goldtip 7595 apg pros out of my 80 lb Hoyt maxxis. They are cut to 27" and are tipped with 125 grn shuttle ts plus 20 extra grains of insert weight. No spine issue.

Same here, 300 FMJs and the FMJ 300 DGs at times.

I'm not gonna hunt with 80lbs, but will be hunting with 75lbs this year...I've got 2dzn .300 spine VAPs built right now with the 92gr SS outserts and plan to shoot 100gr heads...Hopefully it's not an issue "don't have the 75lbs bow in yet", if so I'll back the poundage down a little until it tunes right.
I hunted with a 75lbs rig a couple years ago with 75/95 Gold Tips with 50gr insert weights and 100gr heads and those arrows shot great out of that bow.

I use to shoot 80 but with a 31.5 i have to shoot almost full lenght arrows so 75/95 goldtips for me. Yea the new carbon bow maxs out at 65 must be getting older

300's in most cases would be ideal but I've tuned plenty of 80# bows with 340's and some even with a 400 with good results.

What makes you think it is close to being weak spined? A lot of the time its a bow not properly in tune to make guys think that. Get out the paper tuner and start from there.

I am shooting VAP 250's with 192 grains up front with insert, no issues out to 80 so far. I am shooting a 27 inch arrow with a 28.5 inch draw.
