I second that.Just buy a Tikka in 6.5 or 6 Creed. There are lots more important characteristics for a mountain hunting rifle than the overall weight.

I don't worry bout any of em now. $250 to $5k.Get something you appreciate, or get something you dont mind banging up. If i was starting out i would go get a glenfield model a for $450 in 270 win. Light enough to carry easy, inexpensive enough not to worry too much about it.

Like the budget question which is a perfectly good question then made a silly comment about 30/30's or some such. Pretty funny you replied trying to poke fun and now playing the victim.
