Alaska Registration Hunt

I have been hunting moose in the same spot for the last four years, and I have only needed a Harvest Ticket along with license and tag.

I just found out that my unit 20 has stopped the Harvest Ticket and went to a Registration Permit.

The new Registration Permit looks a lot like the Harvest Ticket, but I guess it comes with stricter reporting requirements.

Make sure you get the correct documents

It’s pretty easy to report your hunt, you can do it right on the ADFG website.

I noticed the same thing when I went get harvest tickets today. Guess that makes it easier to close a hunt if there is too much success early. Hope it doesn’t affect my plan to hunt the very end of the season…
