Didn't even try. Only managed to pull one tag since 1977 so stopped trying. We are heading out of Whittier for black bears in the spring and to our old stomping grounds for moose in area 13 come Sept. If no moose then we head to Kodiak in November to fill up the freezers with venison provided this coming spring is kind to the deer population. We might do the charter boat hunt trip this time. Haven't done that since around 1986 or so.

Kodiak goat, Seward goat, and an any bull moose tags. None in my name, but I'll have a busy fall schlepping up and down the mountains in beautiful Alaska as a helper. I can't wait.

Eh I figured there's not really that many secrets anymore, only two ways to go and only so many ways in. Plus they move around enough that there's not any real honey holes. Now my harvest tag area, that's another story

Yeh weather definitely plays a big part, especially with only 10 days to hunt
