I didn't expect great things from the ANWR Lease Sale but I didn't expect a complete lack of interest by the oil companies. The State of Alaska bought the Federal Leases while Big Oil shunned it completely. Even Big Oil has a limit to funds that can be spent for exploration and ANWR would be expensive due to remoteness and litigation is likely.
