Totally forgot this one. I had about an 12” loop of para cord wrapped on the top handle of my pack. I used that for a ton of stuff. Small and kind of stupid but it was useful.

Flagging tape. I've used it for marking my pack if I take it off to go and make a stalk (it's amazing how well a gray pack blends into the endless mountains of granite when above tree line), marking the exact place where I shot an animal, and then the subsequent blood trail (this worked out very well for finding my son's first moose kill that ran off through the dense woods for about 250-300 yards before expiring). I've also used it for marking poor/overgrown trails to help with finding my way back to camp in the dark.

Flagging tape is a must for marking trails. I also carry a couple blaze orange items in my pack to hang close by for increased visibility of important items or kill sites.

tundra feet or ground sheet for Helinox chair. We ended up hand sawing pine discs and notching them out for the feet of our chair, then duct taping them on to keep our butts off of the tundra.

Ditto with the flagging tape you guys are mentioning. BTW, I switched to pink flagging tape a few years ago because it's more visible to me than orange in the fall.

Another use for it...my transporter has been doing tundra landings the past few years, so I've been making a visible ground wind-direction indicator for them. Make a tall pole and tie a couple sections of three-foot flagging tape at the very top...I was an air-traffic controller when I was in the Marines. The guys seem to appreciate it.

Ben’s, 100% deet bug spray orange squirt bottle, don’t get on phone, watch, gps screens and if you rub your lip it’ll go numb but it’s the only thing I’ve used that works.

5 gallon bucket, with high density foam glued to the lid, it serves as dry storage and a chair.

Electrical tape, I always have couple of feet of it wrapped above and below the handle of my selfbow.

Camp Axe, my personal axe is the Helko Werk out of Germany with a 20” handle. Small enough to easily fit in a Super Cub, big enough to easily fall a tree.

As already mentioned, Baby Wipes.

A uco candle lantern is a wonderful thing to have if you’re in a tent.

A jimmy tarp (they don’t make them anymore, but you’ll be able to find a substitute) they are amazing to be able to bring with you to sit out during the day under a shelter

A 6x6' piece of visqueen. Lightweight and fits in backpack easily. Rain fly on the fly. That you can see through. And after you harvest your game you have a ground tarp. And its cheap to buy

Tyvek works wonders.. can’t agree more.. crinkle it up and soak it in a 5 gallon bucket of water and work the noise out..

I have a 9x7 tyvek tarp. Works for a shelter, meat prep or ground sheet.

I also carry a small tarp in my backpack. The visqueen is very lightweight and folds up into a 7" square
